Halloween 2006: Costumes for Little Ones by Letizia Rossi
Bypassing the fuss of dressing up, costumes for your iPod or baby inflict the holiday spirit on those smaller than yourself.
The peapod baby ensemble (pictured above, far right) available from Simplcity patterns is the perfect welcome for the newest member of the family into the Halloween tradition. A four-piece ensemble includes a green hooded pajama suit, two detachable velcro pea pillows, and a pod that can be used a carrying wrap or—better yet—as a stroller cover.
iAttire's line of handmade costumes fit iPod, iPod mini, iPod nano and iPod shuffle range from $7 for a Lone Ranger-style mask to $40 for a full cowboy get-up.

Frustrated with such a limited choice,...

Sfera Kid's Poncho
We wanted to add this to our 2008 gift guide but regrettably even with the help of Google Translate we still couldn't figure out how to purchase this adorable kiddy poncho. (We're adding "learn Japanese" to the CH 2009 New Years Resolutions). Made by design group Sfera and handwoven in Finland, this is by the far the cuddliest little poncho we've seen made completely...

Pencil Scarf
With nostalgic grade-school appeal, this cheeky Pencil Scarf from U.K.-based label Lazy Oaf is both in step with persistent surrealist trends in more haute fashion circles (like Marc Jacob's infamous deconstructed shoes last season) and with decidedly more lowbrow circles, like the Bacon Scarf. Sure to elicit smiles on the subway or on the street, the pencil's smirk and splash of pink eraser make...

WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie iPod Case
by Pamela LiouWANT Les Essentiels de la Vie plays with expectations in their luxury accessories line that acknowledges the unique needs of the modern jetsetter. According to brothers-and-designers Dexter and Byron Peart, their small collection is "inspired by timeless, functional design classics." The Narita iPod case, named after Tokyo's burgeoning airport, recalls Bauhaus aesthetics without seeming stodgy and steam-punk sensibilities minus the gimmicks. The...

Alabama Builds Shirt
Handmade in the U.S. with organic cotton and benefiting Architecture for Humanity's Gulf Coast Project, the Alabama Builds tee is a win-win-win situation. An offshoot of the Alabama Project (the short-lived adventure in couture made from recycled materials by local seamstresses in Alabama) the shirt uses the reverse appliqué technique that the Project applied to basketball jerseys, dresses and shirts to much success. The...
