Neo2

A project of the Madrid graphic design firm Ipsum Planet, Neo2 is a monthly Spanish design magazine that features international young designers and artists from all creative fields. The magazine’s fashion photography is particularly dramatic and well-done, like two very theatrical shoots in the September issue that play with monochrome tones and androgynous figures. JM Ferrater takes on a Japanese series, which depicts nude bodies painted white from head to toe, and Rafa Gallar shoots the cover (pictured) and a series like it called "Beautiful Pain." But Madrid's approach differs from the metropolis across the Atlantic...
Cesar Fernandez Arias
"You have to be understood by every kid in the classroom including the dunce, not only by the smart ones." Cesar Fernandez Arias' principles of simplicity make for powerful art in multiple mediums while maintaining the integrity of his message. The figures he creates have a primal quality lending them the immediacy of a road sign. At the same time, they're loaded with personality...
Bible Illuminated: The Book New Testament
No matter your religious beliefs, one thing we can probably all agree on is how laborious it is to read the Bible. A Swedish outfit called Illuminated World hopes to change that notion by creating Bible Illuminated, a relevant version of the historical book. Set in magazine format, the New Testament publication includes the same time-honored stories paired with photos that conceptualize how they...
