Designer, artist, illustrator, and ceramicist Jaime Hayón's upcoming solo exhibition and seminar at London's Design Festival are must-sees. Jaime’s forms are decorative, fluid and sensuous and his objects and products always have a luxurious feel—whether a highly glossy vase, a smoothly polished metal lamp, or deliciously upholstered leather chair. This year he won Elle Decor's Best Bathroom award for his beautifully seductive designs produced with ArtQuitect (pictured far left, click images for detail). He also received rave reviews at the Milan fair this year for Showtime (far right), his new line of furniture for Bd Ediciones de Diseño, which highlight Jamie’s flamboyant side with oversized upholstered armchairs and a bold blue cabinet with many different legs. For Jaime the key is diversity—why just have four legs all the same when you can have 20 legs, all different?

In the era of starchitecture, few projects pose more of a challenge to renowned architects than the scale and complexity of a city's crown jewel, the stadium. With a few recent stunning examples in the works, we thought we'd take a closer look. Camp Nou Home to one of the biggest fútbol teams in the world, FC Barcelona, Camp Nou is getting a major...
London-based illustration collective Peepshow has an amazing selection of art prints for sale on their website. Carmody Groarke, a young British firm, just won an Architecture Foundation competition to design a new pavilion in Regent's Place, London. The London creative scene is keeping us on our toes. No sooner than we recovered from the excitements of the 2007 London Design Festival, it was time to get revved up for the London art fairs. We experienced Pulse London and the enormity of Frieze (more to come on that), but we started out at Design Art London, the organizers of which had clearly...
