Whothefuckiscristinatoledo? by Leonora Oppenheim

From her web address, Whothefuckiscristinatoledo, it seems Spanish designer Cristina Toledo doesn’t have to worry about making a good impression. Maybe it's because she's designed the perfect accessory for times when appearances matter most. Her sleek magnetic felt folders are just the kind of thing you need for a job interview or when presenting that new proposal. Put one on the table before you’ve even started to speak and you're already ahead of the pack. They look smart, but anonymous, with tactile grey or pink wool felt on the outside and a black magnetic sheet on the inside, keeping your document safe and wrinkle-free. This minimal design is so beautifully simple and effective, we reckon you’ll get the job! Magnetic Folders are available from Vinçon's virtual counter.

Leslie Shershow Jewelry
Boston-area metalsmith and jewelry designer Leslie Shershow finds inspiration in topics as disparate as found objects, stuffed animals, and the exploitation of nature by humans. Despite the wide array of subject matter, her collections share a refined ruggedness and a rough-hewn beauty. Our favorite collection is her Alaska Series, with its antlers, rifles, bear heads and horns. Selections from the Alaska Series have recently...
S. Stein Workbags
Our recent post about Heath's picnic set introduced us to the rugged good looks and quality craftsmanship of S. Stein Workbags. Designer Sherry Stein, with several of her own lines and years at places like Nike and the Gap under her belt, took a cue from the utility of Doctor's leather bags, bricklayer's canvas bags, military surplus and toolbelts to come up with a...
1986 Seiko Speedmaster by Giorgetto Giugiaro
If you've ever asked yourself, "What was that amazing watch Lieutenant Ripley wore in the 1986 movie 'Aliens?'" I have the answer for you. It was a Giorgetto Giugiaro-designed Seiko Speedmaster Chronograph. The vertical stopwatch pushers placed inside the asymmetrical case extension are what makes the watch entirely unique. Personally, I think he may have been influenced by the design of the 1973 LIP...
Pencil Scarf
With nostalgic grade-school appeal, this cheeky Pencil Scarf from U.K.-based label Lazy Oaf is both in step with persistent surrealist trends in more haute fashion circles (like Marc Jacob's infamous deconstructed shoes last season) and with decidedly more lowbrow circles, like the Bacon Scarf. Sure to elicit smiles on the subway or on the street, the pencil's smirk and splash of pink eraser make...
