Warhol Watches by Ami Kealoha
Taking inspiration from the king of pop art's "resourceful imagination, restless curiosity, and skewed sense of humor," Andy Warhol 15, a collection of new Seiko watches, draw on Warhol imagery to create a wristwear series that's as vivid as the original artworks—and maybe even slightly more ironic . Most innovative are packs of three that, as a whole, make a single image (either a Campbell's soup can (pictured) or a daisy), but also function as colorful abstractions on their own. Others include glow-in-the-dark details, bold, chunky shapes to match the pop graphics, and many are water-resistant. From $75 at Andy Warhol 15.

Spinning Disks Watch
In this image this unusual watch reads 6:11:59. Using three spinning disks to create a triple-tier display of time, the top circle spins fastest with the seconds, the second disk rotates the minutes, the bottom circular plate revolves the hour, and the red line indicates the current time. Housed in a big 39mm square metal case, it costs $95, including free global shipping. For...

Furni x Raised by Wolves Digital Watch
This trio of retro digital watches comes courtesy of a collaboration between Raised by Wolves and Furni (who worked with CH on the ever-popular Farmer Watch last year). This time around, our friends from the north opted for three color options to reflect a 3D theme (Black, Red and Cyan) and a 1980s-style LCD screen. Water-resistant and bound with a sturdy PVC strap, the...

The Spaceman Watches of 1972-77
All obsessions have their own big bangs and appropriately enough, my own compulsive watch collecting began with the Spaceman watches of the '70s. Below is an article I wrote for QP Magazine reminiscing about going back to the future with these Spacemen. Leaving New York one chilly winter day, late in 1999, I found myself come unstuck in time and arrive in Basel at...

Sarpeneva Korona K3 Red Moon
One of Finland's most exclusive mechanical watchmaking companies, Sarpaneva, recently introduced the Korona K3 Red Moon. Featuring a red-hued moon phase indicator—reminiscent of the Harvest Moon typically seen in Europe this time of year—it's a fitting watch to be released just in time for Halloween. Different than the Sarpaneva models currently available, this one features a black, DLC-treated case combined with an 18-carat red...

Horological Machine No. 3
I was lucky enough to be one of the first people in the world to see the latest from Maximilian Büsser & Friends last week. Max and Stephen Hallock of MB&F met me for breakfast at NYC's Brasserie to unveil the most amazing of their Horological Machines yet. I hate to use one word to describe the HM3 Sidewinder and Starcruiser but here it...

Albert Einstein's Longines Watch Up for Auction
We think this gold Longines watch is probably one of the more interesting objects you could own from Albert Einstein. He once said, "the separation between past, present, and future is only an illusion, although a convincing one." Too bad we can't ask him what a real timepiece should look like. If you'd like to own Einstein's personal Swiss wristwatch from 1930, here is...
