Sneaker Freaker 8 by Josh Rubin

Issue8-Hufquake Issue8-Stussy Issue8-Zoommoire

Launched last night at Alife, Sneaker Freaker 8 may be the best issue so far. Mixed in with the usual photos of upcoming product are vignettes from past, present and future. There's also a complete lacing style guide that features 15 different patterns contributed by Ian Fieggen. This issue has several different covers in distribution featuring the Huf Earthquake Pack, Zoom Moire ID and the Stussy Court Force, plus one that was only available at the party last night—a Lacoste Missouri 85 Sneaker Freaker Edition. A few lucky folks even got one of 20 pair of the co-branded, minty fresh shoes pictured here.

Beautiful/Decay Relaunch
From their start 10 years ago when they hand photocopied an all black-and-white magazine, Beautiful/Decay has come a long way. Never one to rest on old paradigms, the art-filled 'zine is reinventing themselves by narrowing down the production to 1500 limited-edition copies while simultaneously doubling the size of each issue. The cover of the first revived issue will feature artwork by Kyle Thomas, who...
Nike Zoom Kobe IV
This past weekend at a Los Angeles High School, Kobe Bryant unveiled his fourth signature sneaker in the Nike Zoom collection. What sets this shoe apart from the rest is the fact that it's a newly designed low-top for use in a sport traditionally played in high-tops. Although high-tops help prevent ankle sprains, the fact is most ankle support comes from a sturdy base...
Reebok Flash Pop-Up Shop and Freestyle Series
by Tamara Warren In 1989 Chinese students protested in Tiananmen Square, Yo MTV Raps! made its debut and the original Reebok Pump hit the basketball courts. The first of its kind, the iconic sneaker has come a long way since it was sported famously by Woody Harrelson in “White Man Can’t Jump." This week is your last chance (last day is 14 December 2008) to...
The Journal of Popular Noise Fall/Winter '08 Events
If CH was ever to go print, we'd like to think we could execute it with the same thoughtful elegance as the semi-annual audio magazine The Journal of Popular Noise, which is why we're excited to be sponsors of the latest issue's launch. This time around the limited-edition (only 300 are made) and letter pressed publication includes Climax Golden Twins, PWRFL Power and Linda...
