Camp Concierge by Jacob Resneck

campconcierge.jpg

Imagine whiling away the afternoon at your lakeside camp in the northern Adirondacks when suddenly you get a hankering for crème brûlée. With a simple phone call, an innovative service based out of Lake Placid can deliver just about anything over land and water. It's called Camp Concierge and it's the brainchild of two young Adirondacker women who understand that escaping the city doesn't have to mean going without the conveniences and services of modern life. They deliver anything from spa treatments to restaurant reservations and will even stock pantries and kitchens before you arrive. "The whole idea," co-founder Brooks Reynolds told the Lake Placid News, "is that our clients make one phone call and we take care of it all."

Crested Butte Mountain Resort: Part 1

Friend and CBMR's Communication Director, Todd Walton comments, "As change occurs, we maintain a profound respect for what has made...

Opinions mellowed to a simmer over time and a recent stay allowed us to take a second look, experiencing how a few key design details put the hotel a notch above the bevy of generically overdone boutique hotels out...
Outside Of Sorts
Opening today at Character in Manhattan, the group exhibition Outside Of Sorts inaugurates The American Design Club, a new NYC-based organization spearheaded by the young, local designer Kiel Mead. The show takes on the idea of the outdoors and includes everything from pillow covered in remnant "Sunbrella" fabric with interior nipples to eyeglasses that simulate freckles. We're so excited about their goal of bringing...
Festival Dos Abrazos in Santiago de Compostela, Spain
The paths through the City of Sacred Pilgrimage, otherwise known as Santiago de Compostela, have been smoothed over by centuries of foot travel. Most of the city exists, both literally and figuratively, in the shadow of la Catedral de Santiago which casts a somewhat stagnant and stale artistic environment outside of the church. However, Santiago is attempting to revamp its image with The Festival...
