Cool Hunting readers and Sneaker Freaker contributors Jeff Carvalho and Rob Heppler tipped us to Weeklydrop, a podcast catering to footwear enthusiasts that they launched last November. For those who take their sneakers very seriously, Weeklydrop's audio installments cover clothing, art, music, and of course sneaker trends as they develop.

Each week, the hosts (with plenty of droll banter and biting commentary) and their guests offer insight and opinions on the latest trends and products. There's also a weekly newsletter in which subscribers stay on top of the latest developments.

Converse x Original Jams: Skidgrip Mid-Shoe
by Laura Neilson More than twenty years after their original collaboration, Converse is high-fiving with Original Jams once again for a small—but definitely noticeable—Spring '09 collection. To celebrate the collaboration-slash-reunion, Converse will debut an exact replica of its Original Jams Skidgrip mid-shoe. As an awesome flashback to the surf and skate scene of the 1980s, the shoe comes decked out in an acid-hued zig-zaggy print,...
A.R.C. Sports Store
Of streetwear pioneer Alife's many 2008 accomplishments—which include fresh collaborations (see their Lacoste Polos and the Parra x Patta sneaker for a couple of our favorites) and stores opening in Tokyo and Los Angeles—what might be the most significant for the seven-year-old brand is the introduction of their new NYC retail location, the A.R.C. Sports Store. Opened Monday directly across the street from their...
