Future Marketing Summit by Josh Rubin
A week from tomorrow is the Future Marketing Summit here in NYC. Organized by our friends over at PSFK / IF!, the day is looking like it will be one well spent. Speakers will include Alex Bogusky (CP+B), Paul Woolmington (Naked NY), Justin Barocas (Anomaly), Rick Boyko (VCU Adcentre), Paul Lavioe (Taxi) and Scott Goodson (Strawberry Frog). Piers (the P+F of PSFK) has also prepared a panel session with "new wave trend spotters" including Dave Gensler (the KDU), Bucky Turco (Animal Magazine), Graham Hill (Tree Hugger) and myself. The fee for the day is $600 which is a bargain compared to some of the other 1-day events, so check out the program and go book now.

Wired NextFest 2007
From ideas that ran from the creepy (like regenerated body parts including bladders) to conceptually fascinating (like a harp with strings made from lasers and a Lifestraw that kills sinister infectious organisms in water upon contact), over 160 exhibitors at the 4th annual Wired NextFest in Los Angeles this past weekend enthusiastically revealed their visions of the future to receptive nerds of all ages....

In celebration of NYC's Design Week this year, we've joined up with some of our esteemed colleagues to throw a party! Hosted by The Apartment at their SoHo HQ, Apartment Therapy, TreeHugger, Curbed, Notcot, Cribcandy and MoCo Loco are all in on the event. New York recently played host to Wired Magazine's third annual NEXTFEST. The celebration of innovation is a World's Fair of sorts and brings together artists and inventors from around the world to display and discuss their work. For our latest CH Video episode we had a chance to tour NEXTFEST with Chris Anderson, Editor in Chief of Wired Magazine, and learn about robots, immersive games and space travel.
