Laloo's Goat's Milk Ice Cream Company by Evan Orensten

laloos.jpg

Laloo's Goat's Milk Ice Cream Company is hand made on a farm in Sonoma, CA where the 350 goats roam and graze freely in the majestic fields. These must be some very happy goats, because their milk, and the ice cream that is made from it, is outrageously good. Goat's milk is low in fat and low in lactose, which makes it easier to digest than cow's milk. Other local ingredients are added to make flavors like Chocolate Cabernet, Chevre Chiffon and Pumpkin Spice, which CH highly recommends.

Laloo's Goat's Milk Ice Cream is available directly from the farm. Minimum order is $32, which includes 4 pints of your choice and shipping. Live on the west coast? Find a retailer with good taste near you.

Pinkberry
If you haven’t heard about the wonders of Pinkberry, it's neither a new fragrance nor a nasty skin condition but rather a frozen yogurt phenomena that's already taken over LA and recently opened their first NYC location in Koreatown. Available in only two flavors, plain and green tea (although I've heard no one ever gets the green tea), it’s the many toppings—fresh fruit, crunchy...
7 Frozen Treats to Beat the Heat
If CH had an ice cream truck, we'd stock it with superlative frozen confections like the following. Made with premium ingredients and boasting unique flavors (like pomegranate and saffron) and inventive flavor combos (such as cucumber and chili), these win over soft-serve any day. Sheer Bliss is a new pioneer in the super premium ice cream segment, recognizable in the supermarket by their reusable tin...
Ecreamery Custom Made Ice Cream
If your local market doesn't satisfy your ice cream cravings, check out Ecreamery, where you can create your own ice cream from 3 base mixes (gelato, classic and super premium), 99 flavors, and 99 mix-ins/toppings. Then you get to name your creation. This luxury does not come cheap: 4 pints (the smallest order) with a single flavor and a single mix-in will set you...
Crummy Brothers Organic Cookies
Spear tipped us off to these cookies. We buy a lot of cookies. We get sent a lot of cookies. We eat a lot of cookies at CH HQ. But we have never. Never. Tasted cookies like these. These righteous treats are geared for an adult palette. Though you can get 'em plain, we highly recommend the lightly-infused flavors: Lavender, Orange Blossom and Peppermint....
