Art Basel: Art Positions, Containers by Josh Rubin
A short walk from the main happenings at the Miami Beach Convention Center is Art Positions. The show includes 20 young galleries featuring their artists in shipping containers converted into exhibition spaces. The work here is much more experimental and edgier than that at the main venue and the containers are a challenging venue that some galleries embraced and used well. After the jump are some of last night's shots from in and around several of the gallery containers.

Opening this Thursday, 5 January, in Miami's Frederic Snitzer Gallery, Lynne Golob Gelfman's latest solo show builds on her repertoire of densely layered, process-oriented work.
