This year's conceptual premise of Deptford X, a loose collection of exhibitions and events in and around Deptford in South London, explores how we engage with the temporality of cities, in both real and imagined ways. Running through November 27th, the 7th annual art fest includes exhibits like Turner prize shorlisted artist Simon Starling's "Cracked Teapot (Wagenfeld), 2005" a billboard featuring the classic German glass teapot, Luke Oxley's neon light-reconfiguration of a warning sign to criminals, and the sci-fi, Lego-like renderings of Plug-In City by Alain Bublex. The Open Exhibition features work by artists living and working in South London, like Andrea Gregson's creepy quilted installation (pictured above). Until November 6th, the Berliner art collective Pankof Bank will host a Supper-Market, hosting six-person invite-only dinner parties in the streets of Deptford.

"Graffiti is not vandalism, but a beautiful crime," is one of the philosophical pillars that this guerilla gallery operates on.
