Airbag Craftworks
by Ami Kealoha
The German-based Airbag Craftworks is the design force behind this crossbones sans skulls tee. Their line ranges from photo-silkscreened birds to statements including, "Don't trust the DJ" and "Good music I dance/No good music I not dance" and they all cost 30 euro. Made from materials like "re-used cotton air mattress," their DJ-friendly bag collection (they come in styles like "classic 12inch") take the recycled bag trend in a new direction. Further proof of Airbag Craftworks' club-kid roots? Their online store also offers electronic music compilations.

Sneaker Activism: Back to the Future Nike
by Josh Rubin
Remember the Sports Illustrated), Adidas never chose to put the shoe into production.
This week Al Cabino launched a campaign of his own to get Nike to produce the funky extra high tops worn by Marty McFly in Back to the Future 2. He has nearly 300 signatures at the moment and is pushing for more before presenting his petition to Nike. Even if you don't like the shoes, go sign the petition and help establish the first-ever consumer demanded sneaker.
First & Fifteenth
by Wendy Dembo
I love First & Fifteenth, a graphic novel by Steve Powers aka ESPO. I am tempted to tear out the pages and put them on my walls. But I love the stories too much. This book is done in an unique style of comic communication sans voice bubbles.
It features urban parables using imagery from: the streets, signs and advertising. The short stories about scams and daily life are all done in Power’s unique style of getting over. The characters are people you see on your block, or overhear in the subway. And the excellent anti-superhero makes appearances throughout. It is really funny, and a perfect holiday present.
