Cool Hunting

Yesterday we read about OZOcar over at Charles and Marie and loved the idea so we decided to give them a shot for this morning's trip to the airport (en route to Seattle). With a fleet of 30 hybrid vehicles, OZOcar is New York's first eco-luxury car service.
We were picked up in a clean and comfy Prius by a polite, professional driver. In addition to the satisfaction of being green, OZOcar had the added features of Sirius satellite radio, in car WiFi and an iBook ready to go for passenger use. Green and wired-- this is definitely our new car service of choice.

Toyota Volta
Finally. A good looking hybrid. Fabrizio Giugiaro, son of famed automotive designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, joined Toyota to launch the Volta in Geneva earlier this month. The hybrid sports car is named for physicist Alessandro Volta who invented the battery. An appropriate honor considering the car's use of both battery and gas in order to be more efficient. review at auto123.com...

Project FOX, is an event in Copenhagen promoting the newly released Volkswagen Fox. For the occasion they created a hotel, a club, and a studio all in downtown Copenhagen. Treehugger about Toyota's continued push for environmentally friendly transportation. The hybrid car manufacturer will be testing a new lower impact, mass transit scheme this March in Japan. The Z-Capsule bus runs on a low-emission, compressed natural gas engine.
