The unofficial inaugural CMJ prom was held last night in NYC and featured LA-based Giant Drag rolling with the punches on stage. In spite of bouncers mysteriously removing their monitors midway through their set, fierce lead singer Annie Hardy kept up her dry jokes in between strumming and singing her way through indie pop-meets-shoegaze songs. Micah Calabrese, held it down with her, deftly drumming and playing keyboard at the same time. The duo's new album was just released this week on Kickball and you can pick it up from Amazon.
