Burton Store NYC by Josh Rubin
Further proving Burton is as much about fashion as it is function, they've just opened a store in the heart of SoHo. Situated on the corner of Spring and Mercer, the store includes the full range of products from each of the Burton brands: Red, Anon, Analog, Gravis and of course Burton. The highlight is their 20 degree below zero testing room. It's a minimally decorated ice box with a mirror, window and some seating-- a perfect way to get a quick sense of how warm the gear really is. Stay tuned for some mountain trips and other events coming to the store this winter.

Or hop a taxi to Le Guéliz, where you'll see young Marrakechis dining al fresco at Parisian-style cafés and toting...

Refinery29: On Location in Reykjavik
Iceland's climate and terrain is so otherworldly—glaciers, geysers, and lava deserts dot this island in the Arctic Circle—that NASA astronauts come here to train. In contrast, the capital, Reykjavik, is a small, thriving city that plays host to great music, fashion, and art scenes. The city's compact layout encourages a sense of community and so do its many stores and cafés where young creatives converge...

Base
For better or worse, the Lincoln Road Mall on South Miami Beach is quite reminiscent of New York's 7th Avenue in the West Village. One shop however, Base, stands out from the rest by offering an exceptionally curated suite of both products and services. Owner Steven Giles says "we're less about labels and more about the ongoing (and less easily defined) culture of the...
