Untitled

by Ami Kealoha

untitled1.jpg

From an exhibition of the same name held annually in Berlin and Barcelona as part of the alterna-trade show Bread and Butter, Untitled is a book that collects some of the artists, websites, clothiers at the forefront of street art today. Standouts of the plethora of contributors include Jörg Haas' (of Being Hunted) unique European perspective and call for innovation and quality, a glimpse of the Gravis Artist Series, and some excerpts from Made and by Twenty04. The pictured cover by the Art Dump collective is one of four available through the Untitled website.

London Design Festival 2005

by Ami Kealoha

londondesignfestival.jpg

London's always calling, but right now, with the 3rd annual London Design Festival running through September 30th, the siren song is a little louder. Exhibitions, cafes, and events take over the city and, curiously, most of what caught our eye happens on the East end, like Geoff McFetridge's premiere show in the UK at Kemistry Gallery (runs through October 5th), a Rococo installation of digitally printed tiles held in Digitile's showroom throught September 25th, and, for the lushes, the Scotch Malt Whiskey Society's show of unique labels created by 26 writer-designers teams' responses to sampling whiskies (through October 1st). Also of note, ecologically-minded events include an exhibit put together by the non-profit [re]design, the results of London Remade's Inspired Recycling initiative, a Dirt Café that invites debate loosely themed around the Slow Food movement, and a debate about sustainability.

by Josh Rubin

pair-o-deez_cards.jpg

We've sold 50 Pair-o-deez decks since last week and just made our first donation of $125 to the Humane Society Disaster Relief Fund. We want to raise over $2000 and have plenty more decks to sell, so what are you waiting for?

For just $10 plus shipping and handling, you can own the sneaker memory game featuring selections from Josh's collection-- and help save the pets in New Orleans that were stranded or abandoned because of Hurricane Katrina.

Sinko Trace by Seth Brau

by Josh Rubin

Dsc 1515 Dsc 1520 Dsc 1526

Sinko Trace. The white on black design is a move toward simplicity from his original Five Three fiesta. They're still distinctively Seth, though, with an abstract pattern spanning the toe boxes and pin stripes on the side. Each pair is finished off with the Sinko Trace mark on the heels. And simplicity affords economy-- a pair of Sinko Trace are $85 compared to $175 for Five Three originals.

He banged out this pair (pics after the jump) in under 45 minutes, all the while chatting about shoes and film school and life here in NYC.
