Cool Hunting
I've only been collecting sneakers for a few years, but have already amassed many a proud pair. I wanted to show them off and asked my friends over at Youth of Tomorrow to lend a hand. They came up with the brilliant concept of a memory game. We even went so far as to produce both printed and on-line versions. The decks should be in soon, but the site is up now.
Pair-o-deez is a sneaker memory game featuring 28 of my favorite pairs. Once you make a match you'll get detailed words and pictures. The first 50 people to finish the game will win a free deck. To claim your prize, take a grab of the screen that says you won and email it to pairodeez [at] coolhunting [dot] com along with your name and shipping address. UPDATE: The first 50 winners are in, but don't let that discourage you-- it's fun!

Sneaker Freaker compiled a Best of Sneakers 2007 by asking fellow designers, artists, shop owners and founders for their favorites of the year. Both classics and newbies are represented but one thing remains clear, Nike still has a firm grasp on the sneaker game. Cool Hunting's version (had we done one) might look a bit different, but we're not quite addicts on the level...
Spring Court, the iconic French tennis shoes, have been available stateside through select stores and boutiques for some time now, but the recent launch of their U.S. website makes it easier to find retailers and to determine if it's worth the trip. For the SS08 collection, which debuted along with the site, Spring Court stays true to its history of simple but functional design,...
Our friends at the sneaker-specific social networking site Sneakerplay recently launched The Photo Box, a widget that allows members to export pictures from their galleries and embed them into personal websites, blogs, profiles and the like. With a clever interface that looks like a shoe box, it allows individuals to take their collections with them wherever they roam online. As usual, you need to...
It's fair to say that we at Team Cool Hunting havn't gone for the whole Nike Air Force 1 anniversary in a huge way, but this collaboration between Nike iD and our favorite social networking site for sneakerheads could change all that. Starting 6 March 2007, Sneakerplay members will be able to design their own AF1's on Nike iD and then have their handiwork...
If you're at all in to sneakers you've probably already heard about Sneakerplay, the footwear themed social software site. In addition to the standard profile, friend, gallery and messaging features the site includes a battle feature. To gain cred in the community and to facilitate discussion about different pairs you can challenge another member's pair to battle with a pair of your own. The...
Jeff Staple is the creative force behind Staple Design and The Reed Space, both of which marry urban culture and fantastic design. One of his strongest focal points is footwear, Sneakers specifically. On his new blog, To Darrin Hudson, Jeff is cataloging (and selling) his shoe collection one-by-one-- not just for the sake of doing it, but also as the ultimate one-up to his...
