Cool Hunting
Following the success of Kidrobot's Dunny, the Bunny-esque doll that's been made over by some 60 artists (with a 3rd edition in the works), this coming November 3rd will launch Munny, the first DIY soft vinyl toy. A tabula rasa surface primes the 7" monkey-slash-alien figure for coloring, dressing, or otherwise customizing. Each doll, available in white, black, or glow-in-the-dark, comes with four mystery accessories, a surprise coloring book, and a "hello my name is" sticker. Designed by man-of-many-talents and Kidrobot founder Paul Budnitz with his longtime collaborator, artist Tristan Eaton, Dunny continues the Kidrobot tradition of reinventing toys for this millenium.
The Munny will be available at all Kidrobot stores, on their website, and at other select stores, ranging from about $25-30.

Creepy yet cute, artist-designed and utterly collectible, the designer toy phenomenon is an accurate barometer of currents in pop culture over the last several years. Kidrobot, the most familiar name in the movement, has literally wrote the book on the subject with this month's release of I Am Plastic, a new hardcover that visually traces the nearly decade-old niche culture. Divided into sections by...
Giant Microbes is a line of esoteric plushies that explores the scientific rather than the usual adorable or fantasy based toys. What child wouldn't want to see, hold and play with the Ebola virus, a bed bug, a flu virus, or a Giardia microbe? Your lover eat too much garlic for dinner? Their feet a bit rank? Place the bad breath or athlete's foot...

I know, I know, you want to pick up a foosball table for the game room, but you're disappointed with the humdrum options at the local game shop. If only you could choose the wood. Select the color and dim the lights on the playing field. Make the players look like your friends or favorite athletes (that Doppelganger technology comes in handy for this)....
Teach your child a harsh but ultimately necessary lesson in mortality with this adorably insatiable plush sea mammal. Because of its vague description, we're not exactly sure what's up with the "Eating Whale Puppet," except that it's extremely cute and seemingly capable of devouring your young. As seen on Excitement Machine, the toy reportedly talks and includes a yummy squid dinner which it-- get...
