Half Pint Power by Ari Bendersky
Your favorite pint glass just got more useful. From Innermost comes a stylish and functional half-pint mug. Currently available only in the UK, the mug comes in white and black and has a twin wall so hot beverages (read: green tea or a vanilla latte) won’t burn your hands and cold beverages stay cool like they’re supposed to. The mugs run £9.95 each (about $18) and look to be worth every penny (pence?). Innermost is also guilty of producing the Pull-Up Vase and the Ghost Vase, two very cool, fairly functional and stylish pieces. Check out the whole line of lamp shades, vases and homewares on their website.

While the Swan (above...

Magppie Bottle Opener
Karim Rashid-designed bottle opener from Magppie (yes, it has two Ps). Sure, it looks like a space-aged Weeble or Gloop and Gleep from the Herculoids, but this elegant device does a lot more than worry about falling down. Its ergonomic design sits comfortably in your hand, while the splash of orange in the groove adds just enough color to give this piece a hip...

Galen Trezise Crocheted Cozies
From the newly-opened Look boutique in SF, these handmade cozies have all the warm appeal of a sweater grandma made with an offbeat Dr. Seuss shape. According to the site, they're intended for vases but we think they'd be well-suited for dressing up a different household object that holds water and plant matter.
