Urban Camouflage Laptop Sleeve

by Ami Kealoha

lifepod.jpg

Satiate Trapper Keeper nostalgia with a computer case from Lifepod. These padded pockets close with a velcro flap, come in sizes to fit 12", 15" and 17" notebooks, feature a roomy interior with a divider pocket that conveniently holds any papers you might want to stow, and are availble in 12 different fabrics. We're all fans of the brown courdoroy version that lends a collegiate air to tech transport, but the pear and apple design (pictured here) is a fun, more grade school option, and we think pairing the black and white checkered style with classic Vans would be a snappy update to the classic matching heels and handbags.

Workshopped

by Parker Hutchinson

The Workshopped Design Expo, held annually in Sydney since 2001, is less like a competition and more like a career-builder for a select handful of emerging Australian designers. It was founded as a agency to connect young talent with manufacturers and suppliers, to help turn their ideas into commercial realities. This year's event is hosted by Strand Arcade and is expected to draw nearly 200,000 expo-goers before its close on August 21st. See some of our favorite designs from the event after the cut.

Oyster

by Ami Kealoha

Like watching the sun slowly rise over a stretch of coast, this EP by Florida natives Gregg Kowalsky and Danny L. on the Swedish label Fukkgod, is ambient music at its most densely serene. Droning swells with slight rough edges and melodic tangents drift in and out of calming hums and eerie notes. Listen here.
