Technology+Spa+Wellness=eq life
by Evan Orensten
eq life is a new retail concept that marries "health, wellness and technology in harmony." It looks pretty interesting to us. A former exec at Best Buy came up with the idea when a friend became ill and he felt there was an opportunity (and a need) to provide spa/salon services, beauty and wellness products and related technology products in one place. We'll check it out in person in a few weeks and will give you a full report.
Beneath
by Ami Kealoha
Beneath, Stockholm's outlet for consummate fans of high-end clothing, rare kicks, independent magazines, and more just moved to Kungsholmen, an island district in the city center. Located in a former photography studio on the third floor of an industrial building, décor by Peepshow, labels like Bless, aNYthing, and Edwin, titles such as Arkitip, Made, and Sneaker Freaker, and rotating art shows, make the store sound like a must-see on any Scandanavian tour.
Fantastic Plastic
by Parker Hutchinson
After completely selling out of their Visionaire has once again teamed up with toy specialists Kid Robot to produce ten new designer playthings: MORE TOYS. The publication's 45th issue is published in two editions, yellow and blue, each containing five plastic toys sprung from the minds at today's top fashion houses. The yellow edition features designs by Gucci, Vivienne Westwood, Comme des Garçons, Christian Lacroix for Emilio Pucci, and Maison Martin Margiela, while the blue edition has John Galliano, Helmut Lang, Jean Paul Gaultier, Stefano Pilati for Yves Saint Laurent, and Giorgio Armani. Each issue has a limited run of 2500 and can be purchased from Visionaire for $175.
