LA Three Way
by Josh Rubin
The dream of convergence is alive and well and living in LA. This Saturday, 18 June, a hot team of sponsors brings you The Party "PC, TV, MOBILE love." With no pretense, this event is purely aimed at having fun and networking. And maybe, just maybe, beautiful things will happen.
Barking Irons vs. Cool Hunting
by Josh Rubin
The long awaited collaboration t-shirts are here!
Keeps the Bees features Mr.Otis, one of our loving little mascots and is printed on Barking Irons' own buttery soft t-shirt stock. The slim cut t-shirt is vintage white-- it's toned down a notch from the usual glare as if it's been worn and loved for many years. We only made 60 of them, so go get yours now!
And if you haven't seen the new line from Barking Irons, it's not to be missed. The designs keep getting better and their printing techniques are unmatched. Many of the shirts are made with this crazy stuff called discharge. It's a highly controllable bleach that is screened on the t like ink. The result-- a beautiful design that's invisible to the touch.
For those of you who won one by participating in our Spring Survey, you'll be happy to know we're shipping them out today.
Bennet Robot Works
by Josh Rubin
Meet Watts-- he's a 2 foot tall bucket of bolts made from old and new found parts. Watts can be found among many other robot sculptures at Bennett Robot Works. No, it's not yet another Social Networking site with a silly angle. It's the portfolio of Gordon Bennett, the artist inspired by Norman Bel Geddes and Raymond Loewy's visions of the Modern Age. Bennett creates these one-of-a-kind sculptures from parts found at the dump, on the street and among the seas of yard sales; so in addition to being cute, they're sustainable.
