Genware Algorithmic Library

by Josh Rubin

Biothing

Remember the work of Genware Algorithmic Library may be the modern day, computer generated equivalent. Most simply stated, artificial life software converts sounds to three dimensional patterns. I'm certainly a lover of algorithmic beauty; in this case a clear 50s modern reference just makes it that much better.

Sonno Mattress

by Josh Rubin

Zm 2418 1

Before I even get in to the details, just understand the beauty of this mattress is in the packaging and shipping.

Over the weekend I helped a friend assemble a new bed from DWR. Among the many packages was a very dense roll that was labeled Sonno Prima, the name of the mattress he had ordered. We looked at it with confidence that there was some mistake-- how could a roll 12 inches in diameter unfurl to be a usable mattress? Reluctantly we removed the plastic cover. Immediately the thing sprang to life, dispelling all mystery. Within moments it was a full height, full firmness mattress. Even better, it's super comfortable.
