ICFF Coming Next Week
by Josh Rubin
The International Contemporary Furniture Fair is coming to town (NYC) next week, and we're getting excited to see all the new stuff. Some designers and purveyors have been nice enough to send us preview pictures, so stay tuned for a few ICFF preview posts leading up to the event. To get a full sense of who's going to be there, check out Metropolis Magazine's overview of all the exhibitors, with links to their sites.
Montage-a-Google
by Josh Rubin
The fact that Google has made APIs available for all sorts of integration projects is among the many things that makes the search engine leader wonderful. I've seen several great projects built on top of Google, beginning with Marumushi's graphical view of Google News (which has been my browser homepage ever since I discovered it). The latest innovation, Montage-a-Google, comes from Grant Robinson and is a simple, yet elegant montage maker built from the results of a google image search.
The above result was generated by a search for Delorean.
Toilet Bowl Restaurant
by Josh Rubin
JCY sent us these pictures over the weekend. It's a restaurant in Taiwan with a modern decor and a full-on toilet theme. The thorough implementation includes toilet chairs, urinal sconces, and even commode shaped serving pieces. Probably not the best place to bring a child in potty training...
