The Mac Mini has such great potential to be a home media hub, but the hard drive options it ships with are not very well suited to such use. Apparently upgrading to a higher capacity internal drive isn't much of an option either because they'll run too hot and cause too many problems-- not to mention the innards of this thing are even complex for a Mac certified technician to navigate.
The MicroNet miniMate solves this problem by adding a drive with up to 400GB of space in a case that matches the footprint and finish of the Mini. The unit is self cooling so no fans to disturb the Mini's zen.
