A Good Reason To Get Your Clothes Dirty
by Ari Bendersky
Kenmore HE4T is one of the best-looking machines on the market. It has a very retro vibe with snappy colors with sophisticated names (ok, maybe they took a cue from J. Crew): Sedona, Bisque and Pacific Blue are just a few. But most impressive is the actual girth of the interior the HE4T claims it can clean 23 large bath towels in one wash. I guess weve come to the point in our history where buying a new washing machine can be as exciting as getting a new car. Go figure.
Matt Siber: Floating Logos
by Josh Rubin
Matt Siber's Floating Logos project accentuates the already looming presence of roadside megabrands. By simply removing the poles, he introduces a bit of surreal humor and religious allusion. Most of the photographs in the series elevate either fast food or oil brands-- a definite Americana statement.
DJ Colette
by Ari Bendersky
Heather, Lady D and Dayhota, turned the dance music world on edge with collective house spinning techniques. Each DJ has gone on to achieve individual acclaim and in June Colette will put out her first artist album, Hypnotized. Always a singer, Colette became known for singing over tracks she spun at live gigs. Seemingly inspired by Kylie Minogue, Colettes angelic vocals grace 13 tracks, with the lead single, Feelin Hypnotized, featured in a Motorola ad.
