Verve Remixed 3 -- They Do it Again
by Ari Bendersky
Verve: Remixed projects have done it again. The third volume in the series takes things up a notch by not only employing the skills of top DJs, but also some indie rock and hip-hop artists as well. This time around, the obvious divas are remixed, including Billie Holiday, Nina Simone and Sarah Vaughan, but South African-born jazz and world fusion visionary Hugh Masekela gets it too.
Retro Redux: A 24 Hour Game Design Jam
by Carol T Chung
Retro Redux, which is a 24 hour game design jam that took place at Parsons School of Design and was sponsored by Atari. Teams from different schools in the area competed to make as many games as they wanted within the alloted time frame in the style of the Atari 2600 and 7800. Awards were given for Best Sound, Best Visuals, Most Innovative, and, of course, Top Game, which gets featured on the next edition of the Atari Flashback Console.
The group I was a member of, Club Awesome, won Top Game for our game Ninja Garden, which is a two player game where two ninjas attempt to burn each other's pagoda down by picking up randomly placed bombs of their designated colors while carving a path through a field of cherry blossom trees with their powerful shurikens. Look for us in this Wednesday's New York Times, as well as the upcoming issues of Game Informer and Wired Magazine.

Tes One
by Josh Spear
Tes One's works is a combination of his past ten years as street art in Florida and his current life as a graphic designer in the digital world. He says his work is a direct representation of his surroundings and how he sees them. It's is a cross between his solid stencil and graffiti art background, fused with vector and digital imagery.
This piece is spray-paint on wood, and is available for sale with many others stencil prints on his site.
