Magppie Bottle Opener
by Ari Bendersky
Karim Rashid-designed bottle opener from Magppie (yes, it has two Ps). Sure, it looks like a space-aged Weeble or Gloop and Gleep from the Herculoids, but this elegant device does a lot more than worry about falling down. Its ergonomic design sits comfortably in your hand, while the splash of orange in the groove adds just enough color to give this piece a hip touch.
The companys tagline, Form Follows Emotion, seems to run through each design, and its lineup of internationally renowned celebrity designers, including Rashid, Nicolas Nicolaou and Luca Trazzi, adds a level of cachet where other homeware companies fall short.
Escama Pulltab Bags
by Carol T Chung
Escama (Portuguese for fish scales) take pride in creating handmade bags in Brasília, Brazil from recylced materials. They are partnered with two women's coopertives in Brazil (Cia do Lacre and 100 Dimensão) that take care of all aspects of production. By doing so, they help the economically depressed communities where the bags are created. Although looking to expand, their products are currently only sold through California retail outlets.

Everything You Like-- Back in Stock
by Josh Rubin
Remember this Ryan McGinness from last November? Originally only a women's T, it sold out pretty quickly. Now it's back in stock and even more exciting, there's a men's version.
$29 at Krudmart.
JUNRO
by Josh Spear
JUNRO is a very simple online boutique of modern design--with some very elegant and minimalistic products. They're not huge, which is to say they're selective about what they carry and feature, like this sleek Epistola Letter Scale--your outgoing mail can be weighed in easily by using a pencil on one side, while incoming mail can be opened with the shaper knife side. They also recently introduced another product line called XEN. It's a line of sleek stainless steal money clips, cuff-links, and other accessories.
Luxe Tokyo
by Josh Rubin
Luxe City Guide, Tokyo edition. Made from a durable paper stock and folded in to just the right size to fit in a jacket pocket, the Luxe guide will certainly be there with me whenever I find that mysterious sponsor who's going to pay my way. The Luxe guide, as the name suggests, features all top notch shopping, dining and lifestyle info you need. And it's written with a snarky British tone that provides some entertainment along with the valuable information.
Adidas Superstar 35th Anniversary #35
by Josh Rubin

As you well know by now, Adidas is celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Superstar. They released 34 different versions of the shoe, each a celebration of the people, places and movements that helped it gain its fame. Though they were not all released at once, they were unveiled at the same time. Except for number 35.
A mystery until today, number 35 is certainly the most sought after and difficult to obtain. Before you can get a pair, you have to get a golden ticket. And to do that you have to participate in a treasure hunt. And it all happens today. The details are on line, but unless you live in Berlin, London, New York, Los Angeles or Hong Kong, you don't even have a shot.
So far as the shoes... they're as pure and simple as it gets. White on white on white. Classic. And they come in a swanky white leather case with gold hardware and a full cleaning kit. Looks to me like a Toland Grinnell sculpture.
Thanks, Hypebeast
