Sneakers, Size Isn't Everything by Josh Rubin

Sneakerbook Cover Sneakers, Size Isn't Everything is a 1998 homage to the design, production and culture of Sneakers. It's a beautifully designed, highly visual book that covers brands big and small, and scans from Japanese school girls to LA gangs to Skater kids. It's a great glimpse at how much and yet how little has changed in the last 7 years.

Colorful Kicks
On a wave of rampant sneaker customization comes a clever and rather timely coloring book by Andrew Freeborn. The footwear fan has compiled his black-and-white drawings of classic kicks and is leaving it up to you to fill in the lines. Unorthodox Styles, the crew behind Crooked Tongues, has released the most thorough and cleanly designed sneaker guide I've seen to date. Over 180 models are included, each selected for having impact on global sneaker culture. In addition to giving the history of each model, the various manufacturers are profiled, the best shops around the world are listed and there's a directory of web sites....
Nikki S. Lee

On the surface her work may seem like simple snapshots of various subcultures. In reality, each piece is comprised of extensive research and cultural assimilation. Prior to creating the photograph, in which she is always one of the subjects, Lee becomes...
So Yesterday
So Yesterday. It's an adventure mystery about a teenage cool hunter who stumbles upon the most amazing sneakers ever. Needless to say, I was skeptical. I finally got around to reading it (cover to cover in flight from San Francisco to New York) earlier this week and was pleasantly surprised. Westerfeld's witty yet simple writing weaves a fun story with a bit of cool...
