June Taylor Organic Jams
by Evan Orensten

Friends of mine have been receiving little pots of June Taylor's jams for the last few years. It's been a closely held little secret of mine. Fortunately for all of us, June has settled into her new "still room" in Berkeley and has been able to meet the increasing demand of her hand-made artisinal marmalades, conserves, fruit butters, syrups and other special treats. Superlatives are not enough to communicate the passion, skill, dedication, craftsmanship and flavors in her work; all of which is made from local (San Francisco area) organic fruits that she has even been known to pick herself, and made by hand by a master craftswoman. In addition to savouring her jams most every morning, I've found great success using them when I cook and bake, too. While some may scoff at paying $10 for a jar of jam, I promise you your tastebuds will rejoice with every spoonful. Available at several retail stores and online.
Personal Data Forest
by Josh Rubin
This image is a representation of all the data right here on Cool Hunting, created using Texone's Tree Applet. You point the applet to a web address and it translates the syntactic structure of the site to a tree visualization. It also creates a Midi file so you can hear a representation of the site. While this may be more fun than useful, there's no argument that it's fascinating (at least to me).

SoCity
by Josh Spear
SoCity is a small design studio based in NYC. They founded themselves with the simple mission of creating design work that makes a true connection with the viewer. Along with freelancing design for others, they have a pretty solid line of t-shirts, hoodies, and bags--like this awesome Sneaker Battle t-shirt, printed on a comfy American Apparel T.
Nikki S. Lee
by Josh Rubin
While reading the premier issue of the hot new Theme Magazine, I was reminded of the work from Korean photographer Nikki S. Lee. On the surface her work may seem like simple snapshots of various subcultures. In reality, each piece is comprised of extensive research and cultural assimilation. Prior to creating the photograph, in which she is always one of the subjects, Lee becomes an accepted member of the group she's exploring. Over the last 10 years she has been a tourist, senior citizen, Ohioan, hispanic, school girl, exotic dancer, skater, hip hop chic and a member of the bourgeoisie.
Check out her book, Projects.
The Shell Toe Music Series
by Ari Bendersky
In 1986, Run DMC paid homage to their favorite shoe the adidas city series here), including, of course, a Music Series.
Adidas tapped seven artists Run DMC, Ian Brown, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Roc-a-Fella Records (Damon Dash), Underworld, Bad Boy Records (P. Diddy) and Missy Elliott to create their own shoe. Each shoe reflects the artists individual style and dedication to the brand of course adding personal touches, like Missys crown insignia on the heel or Runs signature black and white color scheme.
Tomorrow (19 March), the limited music series (adidas created only 5000 pairs of each shoe) will roll out in at adidas Originals stores in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Cambridge, Mass., Georgetown, Portland, Ore. and Miami.
