Maharishi Day Shoe

by Josh Rubin

Maharishi Dayshoes Inhand
More excitement from Maharishi-- this time in the form of footwear. Their Day Shoe, new for Spring / Summer 05, is a simple canvas kick that features the Maharishi house camo pattern, Bonsai Forest. It's available in yellow, leaf green and woodland green camo patterns. If you're partial to simplicity in footwear colors, it also comes in white canvas or black leather.

£45 (£60 for the leather ones) at either Maharishi store. Details after the jump.

Chocolate-filled Eggshells by Bonnat

by Evan Orensten

bonnat eggs.jpg

The Bonnat family has been making chocolates in Voiron in the south of France since 1884. Their Hérisson (hedgehog) is a favorite of mine (a chocolate-covered hazelnut praline) and their single estate Grand Cru bars are intriguing. Our friends at Sur La Table are offering the Bonnat's chocolate and hazelnut praline-filled real eggshells-- at $35 for half a dozen eggs it's not a bargain, but they are sure to impress chocophiles and kids alike.

Thanks Craig.

Copenhagen: Hotel Fox

by Josh Rubin

Hotel Fox Th

Individually themed rooms is nothing new in the hotel world. Hotel Fox will take that idea to a new level when it opens this April in Copenhagen. The hotel has been transformed by 21 street artists, graphic designers and illustrators from Europe, North and South America, and Australia. Each of the 61 rooms has a unique installation; the works have been commissioned by Die Gestalten Verlag, the acclaimed Berlin-based design book publisher. For Robert Klanten, head of publishing, the criteria were clear: "We wanted to put together a group of modern, contemporary graphic designers and illustrators, outstanding and innovative in their fields, whose work is playful, positive, catchy and funky."
