Dwell Minimalist by Josh Spear

dwellshoe.jpgMedium, the footwear designers who follow the simple modernist philosophy "less is more," have introduced a new sneaker model with that in mind once again. They teamed up with Dwell Magazine to bring us this limited edition sneaker the Dwell Minimalist-- hand painted on a mixture of italian leathers to give a very crafty appeal. Available in two styles, the one shown here (Ray) and Charles-- the toned down and less colorful brother.

Laser-burnt with T-Book's clever, M.C. Escher-esque "Don't Kiss Goodbye" (pictured left, click either image for detail) or with their "I Love You" repeating script pattern (pictured right), the process takes about an hour for each pair....

For their first collaboration John Varvatos and Converse brought you the slip-on Chuck—summer's perfect shoe. Now it's slightly Goth fall brother has dropped and is quite a sight. As seen in the pic above provided so kindly by UNDFTD, there are 19 eyelets on either side of the shoe but the black canvas, eyelets and laces balance chaos with simplicity. And those laces are...
