Intoto NYC by Josh Spear

spore.jpg
It was a pleasure to look through intoto's line of innovative and creatively designed products. A NYC based husband and wife team working under the philosophy that "everything communicates". They do furniture, accessories, dinnerware, and have a strong background in graphic design. Joe Doucet, the designer, has done illustrations for Samsung, and worked on the Olympic campaign, among other things. The products are all very cutting edge and simple, reversible dinnerware, coffee tables with built in ceramic vases and products like Spore, as seen here. It's a ceramic vase inspired by watching a film on microscopic photography.

Cap Spray Can Nozzle Stool
Produced deep in the forests of Sweden, "Cap" is the first piece of furniture from the Don't Feed The Swedes. The plastic stool is a tribute to prominent graffiti personalities and modeled after a standard spray can nozzle, but enlarged to a scale which also makes for a functional seat. It was thought up by Swedish design duo Don't Feed The Swedes, and will...
Dror x Target Stack Bookcase
Much like their wildly successful diffusion lines with fashion designers, Target's new line with Dror Benshetrit signals a willingness to take on smaller industrial designers than they have previously and package them for the masses. Of the upcoming collection of bedding, furniture and stationery, all designed with small spaces in mind, we think the Stack bookcase ($90, due out later this month) is the...
