Grivina by Carol T Chung

Grivina-3D.jpg

Those bizarre quirky babies above were created by Grivina, in Russia. The site cuts to the chase. Not much description other than the categories, which is fine since I don't know a lick of Russian. But the work speaks for itself with their hands in illustration, 3D, package, and product design. There's also a livejournal as well. Not something you see everyday on a design site.

Blurb
Great for someone who doesn't want to spend endless hours designing layout but wants it to look professional, Blurb is one of the most versatile new-ish websites for creating albums and books. Whether it's a cookbook, photo album, portfolio or a novel, they can do it all. Unlike most other sites, Blurb gives you the option to sell your book on the web or...
Muji's Message
As longtime Muji fans, we were pleasantly surprised on a recent visit to see they've updated the site with a message expressing their tenets of true design. For a retailer that normally keeps to themselves, allowing their simply classic products to speak volumes in place of flashy marketing campaigns, it's a thoughtful marketing change. We're happy to see they haven't altered their philosophy, as this...
Calu Fontes Porcelain
Distinctly and wonderfully Brazilian, Calu Fontes' painted, one-of-a-kind porcelain accessories are influenced by the lively Bahia region in northern Brazil, from where her family hails. The mix of colors with patterns — on trays, teapots, vases, plates, tiered platters, carafes and cups — reflects the cultural heart of the country. Each handmade piece is the result of a method that involves burning the painted...
Veer Ideas
When Van Gogh dreamed of a utopian community of artists in the south of France, he probably wasn't thinking of the online possibilities. Fortunately for us (over 100 years after the painter's vision), there's Veer Ideas, a social networking site where creatives and design lovers can create original content and connect with each other. It's a creative playground defined by each participant as they...
