fi5e by Carol T Chung
fi5e is a graffiti artist in New York City. Using both computers and hands-on skill, fi5e creates artwork that is aesthetically appealing, while also engaging the viewer through form and content. His All City Council Project has been viewed the most-- In response to the sticker law passed by the New York City Council last year, which stated that those with idenification on any sticker or decal would be in violation of the law, fi5e created text image art (ASCII art) of each of the council members with their detailed information. He proceeded to venture out into the boroughs and posted them within proximity of each of the council members.
Also check out his recent interview with Visual Resistance.

Os Gemeos: The flowers in this garden were planted by my Grandparents
Os Gemeos, our favorite identical Brazilian twin artists Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, have many reasons to be excited about their new show, “The flowers in this garden were planted by my Grandparents.” First of all it's the duo's first solo museum show. Also, their good friend and mentor Barry McGee has previously showed at the Museum Het Domein. The twins pulled off a feat,...

Behind the Seen
Artists best known for their work in public often have an entirely private body of work that doesn't make it out into view. Recognizing this, Michael DeFeo (the Flower Guy) assembled Behind the Seen, an international group show featuring rarely seen artwork not typically associated with the artists. Including work from Blek le Rat, Shepard Fairey, Ron English, Richard Hambleton, Keith Haring, Maya Hayuk,...

Street World
The new project from Roger Gastman, Caleb Neelon and Anthony Smyrski, Street World: Urban Art and Culture from Five Continents, clocks in at nearly 400 pages of full-color images of all the street culture we knew we loved (graffiti, fashion, skateboarding, and so on) with plenty of more esoteric global happenings. Think pigeon keeping, protests, activism, drum lines, urban exploration, signage and plenty of...

Dumbo: Acts of Vandalism and Stories of Love
Word on the street is that the prolific graffiti artist Dumbo had to leave Milan for Brooklyn at the risk of arrest. The writer's tag dots lower Manhattan, around Canal on West Broadway, but in Milan it seems like he hit every single building. His recent book documents his life as a vandal, including his tags, art, actions and the like, featuring an intro...

The Graffiti Art Project
Reminiscent of Wooster Collective's 11 Spring project in New York City last year, the Kelburm Castle in Scotland is the next building in line to be covered in street art. Beginning on 10 May 2007 the Kelburn Castle (above) will experience a barrage of paint, paste and paper as top Brazilian street artists, including Os Gemeos (below right), Nina (below left) and Nunca work...
