Evan Hecox by Josh Spear

Colorado native Evan Hecox never ceases to amaze me with his design skills and his brilliant screen prints. He has done t-shirts and skateboard designs for skate companies like Chocolate and Girl. I keep seeing his work pop up all over--once even I spotted his work behind glass in the Denver Airport on my way home. This one is a limited edition print for Arkitip, only 100 were produced and they are for sale in their online store.

Steven Harrington
Since we first heard about L.A.-based artist and designer Steven Harrington's work, he's apparently been busy. Some of his latest illustration recently reached my desk in the form of a beautiful holiday calendar from Daub and Bauble. Created at the Studio on Fire letterpress, Harrington's design features a proud peacock with Day of the Dead-style skulls. (Pictured above right.)Harrington, along with fellow artist Justin...

London-based illustration collective Peepshow has an amazing selection of art prints for sale on their website. The prints are made in a limited edition of 30 and are all signed and numbered by the artists. It's Pop It's Art: Imagine by John Lennon
Someone once said to me if "Imagine" by John Lennon was never played again, it wouldn't matter, given how deeply embedded in popular culture it is. Love it or hate it, I bet all of you could sing it to yourselves right now. Me, I'm a lover, which is why I'm really pleased this print from Airside is now finally available as part of...

On the Wall
Local 35 is a two-year old Portland multi-use space that sells independent clothing lines and shows art. Their latest show, opening tonight from 7-10pm, fuses art and fashion, commissioning over 15 artists with customizing a pair of Vans to benefit Skaters for Portland Skateparks. Eric Railton, the man behind Akadia clothing, emblazoned his entry with a wolf (pictured) - the image that seems to...

Preferred Prints
After a year of holding out for the perfect wall coverings for my down-south bachelor pad, I've started to gain quite the reputation as a de facto minimalist. It's high time I clear my name with the these superb prints from Scott Hansen. Under the moniker ISO50 (after his choice of Fuji slide film), the Sacramento-based Hansen has been slinging his fine print designs...

Hank and Matlok
Unconventional in every sense of the word, Melbourne duo Hank and Matlok are causing a stir down under with cutting-edge art, quirky prints and intelligent fashion. CH caught up with the duo during their recent exhibition at Robio to talk about art, beer and fashion. (Click images for detail.) What's with the name? Hank: Blame our parents. That's what we normally do. Matlok: Yeah,...
