Doug Cowan
Doug Cowan is an artist's artist in the purist sense: an illustrator who truly loves his sketchbook. That said, the New York-based artist' work is clearly permeated by an overarching sketchbook aesthetic. Cowan doesn't so much sketch in his book than thoroughly loses himself in it. The result being the most hauntingly beautiful drawings of nature, forlorn figures and everyday ephemera....

Nanan Window Painting Exhibition
Working exclusively in white, Korean-born artist Nanan's nature-themed window art is currently decorating five different storefronts in downtown Manhattan (see below for locations) through 30 June 2007. Her delicate patterns draw "attention to the threshold between interior and exterior," adding spiderweb-like detail to planes of glass. Check out her illustration work for the likes of MTV, adidas, the W Hotel and other stores here....

Hope Gangloff
We love Hope Gangloff's pop culture-heavy designs for Built by Wendy and her subtly dirty illustrations for Sweet Action. Her offbeat, somewhat diaristic ballpoint pen drawings range from scenes of party life and debauchery to still lifes of roadside views and the contents of a purse. For her first solo show, she will exhibit a series of pieces in ink and a large latex...

Gregory Siff
When Gregory Siff isn't acting in independent films, modeling for Abercrombie, or hosting Disney's Z Games, he's painting, creating installations and sculptures, or customizing Stan Smith adidas. The NYC-born, 27 year-old wunderkind tailors the kicks, called "Gregory's," according to the character of the individual. Currently he also offers more minimalist versions, like those pictured, at Rudy's Barbershop in the Hollywood Standard hotel. His graffiti...
