Chichu Art Museum by Josh Spear
I haven't had the pleasure of traveling to Japan yet, but very soon I'll be going on a cool hunting adventure there-- and I don't know if I'll ever return! One place I must stop as I'm on tour around Japan is The Chichu Art Museum. It's only accessible by boat, and Tadao Ando designed it to be completely built into the ground and barely rise above ground level--so it doesn't disrupt the islands lush and natural appearance. Each section of the museum is connected by concrete corridors allowing natural light to flow in and cover some of the works inside. They apparently have an entire room dedicated to Monet's Water Lilies, but I'd go just to see the architecture and design executed on this beautiful island landscape.

The Poseidon Undersea Hotel
Poseidon. Rooms will be submerged 50 feet under the sea off Eleuthera Island in the Bahamas. $1500 a night gets you a room at the bottom of the ocean, each room will be equipped with spotlights and control to release fish food to keep things entertaining. Mill City Museum—Minneapolis
Mill City Museum, one of downtown Minneapolis's latest architectural achievements. Rather than completely erase the existence of the former flour-processing plant that was destroyed by fire in 1991, the new museum was constructed within the remaining outer walls, now jagged and ragged but still intact. Contemporary Art Museum: Niteroi, Rio, Brazil
Oscar Niemeyer is undoubtedly Brazil's most influential modern architect. I was only able to see a small sampling of his work, but was blown away by the Contemporary Art Museum in Niteroi (outside of Rio).
