Cool Hunting
Studio Dror's Vase of Phases will be available to the public this coming February. The design company Rosenthal is producing and distributing the vase. Its debut will be at the Ambiente trade show in Frankfurt, Germany and will be available for purchase through Rosenthal as well as other retailers. Before the porcelain vase is shattered, it's protected in the interior with rubber so that the pieces retain the shape of impact. Then it's redipped in procelain. They will come in both black and white and will be available in three sizes. The smallest with a height of 8.5in and a diameter of 5in. The largest with a height of 11.5in and 7in in diameter. Urbanites everywhere will surely appreciate this defiled concept of purity.

Some readers pointed out another vase that uses a similar concept: the Do Break Vase. This vase allows you to break it yourself, over and over and over again. Imitation, coincidence?--you be the judge. The difference is in the details. We like both!
