Gridskipper
by Josh Rubin
Gridskipper, the new travel blog from Gawker Media, has just launched. If you're looking for a guide that combines facilitated decadence on a budget, or if you just want inside tips on your destination of choice, Gridskipper promises to be there for you. According to Nick Denton, Publisher, Gridskipper is all about giving you the essentials, as opposed to other travel guides that are all inclusive and tough to filter through.
Eye Noise Posters
by Josh Spear
Eye Noise has a whole bunch of really great silk screened posters made for many popular small bands you can never find posters for. They are all made by Thomas Scott, a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He has received national recognition by magazines like Communication Arts for his graphic design work and is featured in a couple of books like Next: The New Generation in Graphic Design. All of his work is priced affordably for such a uniquely designed line of silk screened posters.
LED Belt Buckle
by Josh Spear
Lets call it-- blink-bling, this LED belt buckle is quite, well, bold. You can store up to 6 messages with up to 256 characters per message while controlling both the brightness and scrolling speed. I guess if you have something to say while your out at the club this is the best way to do it. Your statement will surely not be missed. You can expect to stand out with this one; the diamond bezel is a very nice touch.

Catch the Buzz: Bloc Party
by Ari Bendersky
The other day I mentioned that Kele Okereke lent his vocals to the Bloc Party, is gearing up to take America by storm. Their album, Silent Alarm, on hip indie label Dim Mak comes out later in March, but they have a few tracks for download on their website and singles were just released January 25. While their sound is definitely post-punk (imagine Gang of Four mashed up with English Beat), this Brit band mixes it up with the ballad-like song Tulips, where Keles vocals are reminiscent of Morrissey. This is the first serious buzz album of 2005.
Check out the MP3s.

The Nike Berliner
by Josh Spear
A small run of these phunk x SBTG Nike trainers were produced for the Yut Chi Mah Show in Berlin. I haven't a clue where to get them-- I'm sure they've all been gobbled up by sneaker collectors by now, but they sure are sweet.
