Red Coles
by Josh Rubin
Red Coles is a soul inspired line that features a hand made feel applied to limited runs of t-shirts, polos and sweatshirts. Eric Coles, a former music exec, designs and produces every piece in his Brooklyn studio. "The collection is a fun mix of pop culture-inspired line drawings, portraits and graphic designs. Since the illustrations all start as works on paper and not in Photoshop, the screen prints tend to have a more organic feel, says Eric.
Sports Illustrated: The Life Shoequatic Of The Week
by Josh Rubin
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou disappointed me, but when I saw the movie I noticed the Team Zissou adidas the crew wore and wondered if they'd be available in stores. For now, the answer is no, but here's how you can make a difference [link to Cool Hunting].

Sneezing Hula Girls
by Josh Rubin
CES wasn't the only show in Vegas last week. The Adult Entertainment Expo was there, too. While the show was mostly dedicated to porn, there were a good number of gadget vendors as well. Most of the warez were run of the mill sex toys, but these 3 vibrators were something special. They simultaneously buzz and gyrate and I think they're supposed to look like a woman pleasuring herself. To me they look more like a woman about to sneeze. Fascinating none the less.
Segway Spinners
by Josh Rubin
With so many companies at CES, sometimes a great product isn't enough-- exhibitors had to use all sorts of strategies to get people to hit their booths. From scantily clad women to skateboarding half pipes, every effort was made. MTX Audio put spinners on a Segway. Hot or not, they certainly caught my eye. There's something about spinners that continues to intrigue me.
Back to the Basics: Calculators
by Josh Rubin
CES was certainly a fascinating experience. Just when I thought I had seen everything I passed this display of, well, calculators. Thank goodness there was still room and respect for some of the most basic of gadgets.
I have a few more things to share and promise to post them up today. If you're looking for an inventory of all the latest and greatest from the show, be sure to check out Gizmodo or Engadget. Among other things, be sure to read Joel's interview with Bill Gates (part 1, part 2) which covers a lot of ground including a follow-up to last week's Fortune magazine story on how blogging is the most important tech trend in 2005.
adidas Tsunami Relief
by Josh Rubin
Through the end of today, adidas will be donating 20% of their on-line sales to Mercy Corps for Tsunami relief. If you've been holding out for that new pair, now' the time to go get it.
