ripeSense by Josh Rubin
ripeSense sensor changes color by reacting to the aroma released by fruits as they ripen. The ripeSense packaging protects the fruit while in transit—and there is no longer a need for shoppers to squeeze and feel ‘is it ripe yet’, once the sensor reaches the desired ripeness level, you can just pop it in the ’fridge to slow down the ripening process. How long till wee see these widely used in the US? My guess, not long. --Josh Spear
