Violight
by Josh Rubin
Your toothbrush cleans your teeth, but what cleans your toothbrush? Good point, I never thought about how disgusting a toothbrush might get. The mere thought of it sells me on the newly designed VIOlight. Fashioned by Philippe Starck, the VIOlight can be found in Time Magazines Coolest Inventions of 2004: "…a single toothbrush can harbor millions of microorganisms, which translate into harmful bacteria-— bacteria that thrive in the warm, moist environment of the average bathroom." The VIOlight uses a germicidal UV bulb which cooks 99.9% of all germs right out. A family sized unit houses 4 brushes for $49.95 and will save you from all sorts of yucky microorganisms. --Josh Spear
Emergency Cuff Links
by Josh Rubin
Slide the 316 Wallet Essentials credit card sized, paper-thin piece of etched steel into your wallet right next to the platinum card, and never find yourself cuff link-less again. It’s not uncommon to forget or misplace little things like cuff links during a hectic preparation for a fancy night out, and these little sheets are an excellent solution. No they’re not as snazzy as the Paul Smith links, but they’re totally affordable at £7.95 a set and very Bond. Each package comes with two pairs of emergency cuff links embedded in steel that can easily be twisted out and folded into shape. --Josh Spear
Foodie Survival Kit
by Josh Rubin
Mobile Foodie Survival Kit from Flight 001 for $30. Never again suffer from bland or nasty food simply because you're on the road. This little kit features all the essential herbs and spices-- like crucial wasabi and soy sauce. Spices are organized in small containers to prevent mess and the kit is small enough to fit in your handbag or backpack. You’ll be happy you’ve got it when the flight attendant rolls by dropping off the in-flight dish that could use just a hint of cinnamon or a pinch of cayenne. Perfect for any foodie, yourself included. --Josh Spear
