Studio 8 by Josh Rubin

Drew Popple recently left the corporate design world to do his own line of T-shirts. Studio 8 brings an attention for comfort and detail together with hip designs that inspire me to plan my next vacation in the tropics. Here's what Drew has to say:

I'm a 24 year old Londoner and had been working as a t-shirt designer for a company in NYC when I decided to start my own company. I spent a few months trying to identify what made a good t-shirt and speaking to a bunch to get some views on effective design and strong images. I wanted to go back to basics and find out the history behind the t-shirt. I found that comfort and statement seemed to be the attraction of the t-shirt. Studio 8 is a combination of the best t-shirt fabric, the highest quality, most suitable inks, and hand-printed designs that are strong, original and represent the range of cultural influences that inspired me.

Rising from the underground ranks, Amsterdam-based artist Parra Rockwell's new tees are the latest proof of his current spot in the limelight. The shirts feature the same bright, unusual palette that made top companies like Nike and Volkswagen hire him, also landing the rising artist gallery shows in recent years. In fact, Rockwell's first NYC show this past summer at Reed Space was a...
+41 Fairtilizer Tee and Peacock Scarf
Maybe because we're excited about the upcoming U.S. release of Control or maybe just because we appreciate any interpretation of Peter Saville's pulsar-inspired design, but either way +41's new Fairtilizer t-shirt turned our head. Developed for a music sharing site (called Fairtilizer) that +41 is art directing, the 100% cotton tee is a nice addition to the rest of their (almost) all black-and-white 2007...
