Tumi Mountain Pack by Josh Rubin
Tumi continues to push outward and upward-- this time with a mountain climbing pack that looks just as good in the Sea of Tranquility as it does on the top of Mt. Hood. Their VP of Design, Timm Fenton, is an avid mountain climber and created this pack specifically for a climb in South America this Winter. The ultralight pack has a 5000 cubic inch capacity, but the radical materials keep the weight under 6.5 pounds.
This December it will be available, in a limited edition of 125 units, at Tumi stores and on their site for $595.
More details after the jump.
Features include:
- 3 high tech performance and ultra lightweight materials
- Reinforced stitching at all critical high stress areas
- Adjustable lumbar/shoulder straps for different torso lengths
- Large capacity lower zipper pocket for clothing/accessories/gear
- Two external side pockets for poles/stakes or h20 bottles
- 2 Ice axe loops
- Fully adjustable shoulder straps for variable weight distribution
- Dual density foam padding and 3d mesh on back panel and hip belt
- Main draw string compartment for sleeping bag/pad, clothing, gear, etc...

The Burton Ronin Espionage Jacket has everything you need to rock the mountain in style and comfort. The jacket, which is available in 4 different colorways, also has an integrated digital camera for stealthily snapping pics. We thoroughly examined the pictures on the site and can only guess where the camera is. I guess this calls for a quick trip down to the Burton...

Shift Bicycle
Shift Bicycle was designed by Scott Shim, Ryan Lightbody and Matt Grossman, and it won them top honors in a bicycle design competition held by the Taiwanese Government. The technology is simple, the back paired wheels come together by an articulated hub when the bike is in motion--but when it's still they spread apart for stability. via Engadget...

Burton / R.E.D. Audio HiFi Helmet
This isn't the first snowboarding helmet with built in speakers, but it may be the best so far. Burton claims audio excellence and I haven't gotten proof of that yet, but the overall features are just right. Removable speakers, adjustable volume, a quick release chord and an easy access mute button give this lid the functionality needed for happiness and safety. Have you tried...

Arcteryx
Urban tech meets outdoor performance. And it all looks really cool, too. Arcteryx used to just make climbing gear, but now their line has expanded. And their site is pretty slick, too....
