Nike Zvezdochka by Mark Newson by Josh Rubin
Launched in the Japanese magazine Marc Newson as a multi purpose shoe for cosmonauts, it's named for the Russian space dog that ventured aboard Sputnik 10 in 1961. While it may look like a reinvention of the Jelly, it promises to be the next major accomplishment in footwear engineering. If you're in London, you might be able to decide for yourself when Newson's show opens next week at the Design Museum.

Spring Court U.S.A.
Spring Court, the iconic French tennis shoes, have been available stateside through select stores and boutiques for some time now, but the recent launch of their U.S. website makes it easier to find retailers and to determine if it's worth the trip. For the SS08 collection, which debuted along with the site, Spring Court stays true to its history of simple but functional design,...

Nike Stash and Futura Dunk
255, the Nike iD boutique in Manhattan's Nolita, typically plays host to a small group of invited guests. Sometimes, though, larger parties are thrown. Such was the case a couple months back when Stash and Futura brought along 30 friends. That night the graf artist and the shop keep designed a shoe together and even made a logo to go along with it. And...

Puma Summer 2005
I'm a big fan of Puma's summer line--the designs are totally progressive, and they're trying new stuff--which is admirable. All shoes and clothing aside, their Summer 2005 eCatalog is just brilliant. It's easy to use and works from the point of view as if you were reading the catalog and turning the pages with your own hands- a very nice marketing touch, and fun....

The Hundreds vs. Corgishoe
This past Summer The Hundreds set foot into the largest Nike collection of them all-- the one belonging to Corgishoe. Documentation of the journey has just surfaced and it's not to be missed. There are lots of pix, but not everything was documented; after all, Corgishoe has collected over 2,100 pairs (and not worn a single one! In case you're interested my collection is...

Nike Aloha Dunk
Fatlace has an interview with Ian G., the founder of Kicks Hawaii and collaborator on these beauteous Dunks. Of all the Nike collaborations going around these days, this one is my new favorite. I love the Lauhala style weave on the side panel....
