JB + Ride
by Josh Rubin

It will be a few more months before hitting the first freshies of the season, but it's not too early to start dreaming. One dream came true already-- the hotness of JB Designs applied to a snowboard boot. JB teamed up with Ride Snowboards to create this custom set-up which features a laser etched design and custom graphic prints. They'll definitely be hard to find (read: locals only!) and there won't be too many made, so stay tuned for hints if I can get some. The 04/05 season is off to a perfect start. Not quite sneakers, but a logical Winter extension.

The Four Seasons Restaurant
by Josh Rubin
If I had not attended a friend's wedding this past weekend, I would still be unaware of the brilliance that is the Four Season's Restaurant. Designed by Mies Van der Rohe and Philip Johnson in 1959, the entire space is spectacular, but the window treatments are what really blew me away. Delicate chains repeatedly drape across each of the 30 foot tall window panes. They are lit from above and the a/c vents are at the base. The result is a gently shimmering, animated effect-- a lovely kinetic compliment to the grand mahogany panels on the interior walls.
