Reebok Vending Machine by Josh Rubin

So I had to go see the sneaker vending machine that was all the buzz this week. While the Tokyo comes to NYC concept is great, this particular machine is nothing more than a sandwich dispenser filled with kicks. Situated in a dark corner at the entrance of the store, it's hard to even identify the contents as sneakers. I wish the physical design was more specific to the product being sold and the user interface a little more intriguing. Seeing as each pair costs $60, it would also be nice if this thing took credit cards. I guess this gets filed as a cool idea, but bad implementation.

Jason Markk x Staple Sneaker Solution Set
It sounded like a good idea, but when we first heard about Jason Markk sneaker solution, we had our doubts. Even after all the rave reviews, I wondered if I couldn't get the same results with a little soap, water, a toothbrush and some hard scrubbing and skip the fancy packaging. Then good ol' Jeff Staple lent his cred with the recent release of...
