Jared Buckhiester by Josh Rubin

jared buckheister 1 back

Jared Buckhiester is an artist who draws, photographs and makes t-shirts. His art tells a dark and homoerotic story of boyhood grapplings with sexuality. While the imagery on the T-shirts is not as explicit, the theme is still there. All designs are printed in limited editions on 100% cotton, hand dyed Ts.

$84 on his site, or at Nom de Guerre in NYC.

Tokyo Art Beat Spring Tees
We're always super excited to see Tokyo Art Beat's new limited edition tees, and this spring is no different. Holiday Matinee Artist Series T-Shirts for a Cause

Their current artist series sees monthly releases of some great t-shirts for a great...
Howard Tangye
Clothing designer, artist and teacher Howard Tangye gives us an unusual look at models, likely to inspire allusions to Schiele. The etched lines draw out a specific moment in time and the eyes seem to be sharing a conversation, listening to someone go on. You can almost predict what they are about to say, responding to you with compassion, yet keeping their guard up...
Art, Design and Technology for Obama
Of the many history-making aspects of Obama's run for President, the art and design that's come out of it isn't insignificant. From the identity of the campaign itself to Shepard Fairey's pioneering grassroots poster, the Obama brand has taken on a life of its own. Naturally, the internet is fertile ground for expressing support and Facebook groups, websites for creating custom logos and even...
